Independent Outdoor Planning Focused Entirely on How You Live.

An Independent Planner Working for Youβ€”Not the Builder.

I started Regenerative Designs with a simple belief: your land’s sun, wind, and privacy should decide how your yard is laid outβ€”not what is easiest for a builder or what plant is currently on sale.

Over the years, I saw the same problem happen again and again across Queensland. Homeowners were spending huge sums on building or renovating, only to end up with backyards that were too hot, lacked privacy, or were awkward to step out into.

Builders focus on house walls. Landscape trades focus on building retaining walls and laying turf. I focus on how your entire property works together as a comfortable place to live.

Because I work on my own, I work only for you. I don't sell paving stone, I don't push high-cost construction work, and I don't take commissions. My only job is to give you honest adviceβ€”making sure your yard gets plenty of breeze, blocks harsh sun, stays private, and fits your budget before physical work begins.

OUR SIMPLE PLANNING RULES

Practical Layout Principles That Just Make Sense.

Good design isn't about complicated ideas or fancy words. It comes down to four basic rules for outdoor living:

1. Work With the Weather

The Sunshine Coast has incredible weatherβ€”if your house and yard are set up for it. By placing outdoor spaces where they catch morning sun and afternoon breezes, your home stays naturally cooler without needing to run air conditioning non-stop.

2. Treat Your Yard Like Outdoor Rooms

Your yard shouldn't just be one giant patch of grass. It should feel like an extra room of your home, with clear areas for eating, relaxing, playing, and cooking, all connected by easy-to-walk paths.

4. Protect Your Privacy Naturally

You shouldn't have to live in a goldfish bowl or keep your blinds drawn all day. By placing shade screens, pergolas, and trees in the right spots, we block sightlines from neighbours so you can enjoy your yard in complete privacy.

3. Smart Layouts Come First

Choosing plants and materials is fun, but it comes after we figure out where things go. If your patio is placed in the wrong spot or bakes in the afternoon heat, buying expensive outdoor tiles won't make it any more comfortable.
